Kitchen as Focal Element of Old House Redesign Idea

This old house redesigned and reconfigured to create modern and better way of living spaces. The existing house retained, but previous building addition demolished. New kitchen built and become focal element of others new rooms, such as bedroom, bathroom and laundry, dining, court, and a detached studio. The new bathroom placed behind the kitchen, has door opening to courtyard. The shower cabin has roof windows. The kitchen with dining area beside it has opening structure to the courtyard. Built-in kitchen furniture equipped with small table with various function, such as for small workspace to place notebook. Playful ceiling height in the kitchen area, create spacious feel of room. The detached studio also built with opening structure. Between detached studio and main house, small minimalist courtyard with pergola built. Designed by Vittino Ashe Architects.
